Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage says politicians campaigning upon conservative values are winning elections more frequently.

Mr Farage pointed to Italy, which is about to elect their first female prime minister Giorgia Meloni – who is a right-wing candidate, and Sweden which elected a non-Social Democrat Party candidate for the first time since 1945.

“All over the world we are seeing a move against globalism because what’s globalism done?”, he told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“It’s made the rich richer and disadvantaged absolutely everybody else.”

Mr Farage said countries like Australia and the United Kingdom are seeing candidates who “masquerade at election time as being conservative” but do not actually govern and champion conservative values.
