Why Canada is reforming indigenous foster care

Why Canada is reforming indigenous foster care The residential school legacy has been linked to the overrepresentation of indigenous children in care. "The reasons why indigenous kids go into care are driven by poverty, poor housing, substance misuse and mental health and domestic violence, due to the multi-generational trauma of residential schools," says Blackstock, the executive director of the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society.Blackstock has led successful legal battles for reforms to the system - and is still fighting Ottawa over the compensation for those affected by on-reserve child welfare practices.

Speaking on the Celebrity Search Engine podcast about a Spice Girls tour, Chisholm said: 'I can't speak for everybody but if it was down to me, as soon as we can, we will'.

'The success of the shows in 2019 and just how much we loved it, we have to do it,' she said.

'If we don't do it, I'll be very, very cross.'

The bands songwriter and producer Biff Stannard recently admitted there are still more unreleased tracks from the super group in the archives.

It comes after their 1996 demo Feed Your Love was released last week for the 25th anniversary of their iconic debut single Wannabe.

Speaking during an Instagram Live, the 55-year-old said: 'There are other demos, I know that’s a big question you all want to know.'

The songwriter, who worked with the star-studded girl group on huge hits like Spice Up Your Life and 2 Become 1, is now trying to convince the band to release more of their unheard tracks.

'The decision about other demos isn’t mine, but there are other demos and there’s stuff going on. But I can’t confirm,' Stannard revealed.

'I’d like the other demo releases to happen too, of course I would. You’ve got to remember that there’s five girls — it’s their decision, it’s not mine. I’m just part of it.'

'I can ask them and do puppy dog eyes but it’s their decision at the end of the day. They’ve had control from the very beginning so they will decide as a group,' he said.

Band members Emma Bunton, 45, Melanie, Geri Horner, 48, Mel B, 46 and Victoria Beckham, 47, are yet to make a decision.

However, Biff weighed in on fan favourite song: W.O.M.A.N. - which they played live in 1999 but never released in full.

He suggested this track could see the light of day for the anniversary of third album 'Forever'.

Their third studio release originally came out in 2000, and the popular unreleased track was also originally penned for that record.

One of America’s Best Gilded Age Palaces Isn’t Where You’d Expect

One of America’s Best Gilded Age Palaces Isn’t Where You’d Expect You know a few of the largest homes in the United States already: the Biltmore, Hearst Castle, the Breakers, and the other celebrated dwellings. The remainder are largely where you might expect, on the Gold Coast of Long Island, around the Philadelphia Main Line, on assorted shores and promontories friendly to Gatsby types. A number are just memories, or now owned by universities or country clubs, as even Vanderbilt and Hearst or Dupont or Rockefeller heirs often balk at the expense of keeping up 100-room homes.

He added: 'If 'W.O.M.A.N.' was going to be done, it wouldn't be now, because it wasn't for the first album.'

Meanwhile, the songwriter - who has continued to work with Melanie C on her solo projects - admitted he would still love the Spice Girls to release a fourth album, despite the pandemic making that an unlikely outcome.

He said: 'Discussions about new music? No. I feel like maybe I could start that discussion but I don’t think the pandemic has helped that, really.

'Do I think a fourth album would hurt their legacy? Not if it was great.'
