. The police were notified, thanks to two reports of Internet users on the Pharos platform, of the existence of a man from Hautes-Pyrénées filming healing of the hedgehog. The three bracos were arrested on Saturday and Sunday during a police check. A living hedgehog was found in their car. Among them was the author of the reported kitchen tutorials. During their police custody, everyone said they did not know that this practice was prohibited in France. They only received a simple reminder of the law, but the French Biodiversity Office (OFB) could decide to initiate prosecution against them. The hedgehog is a protected species whose capture and hunting are prohibited in France. Using them is an offense punishable by three years' imprisonment and a fine of 150,000 euros. On October 18, three other individuals had been arrested in Tarbes as they hunted the hedgehog with a hunting dog.
