With three weeks left until the Grand Prix, judge Alan Fine was 'frustrated' at having to hear the case on such a tight schedule but would make a ruling on whether to dismiss the case as soon as Monday, according to the Miami Herald.
Formula One are still awaiting city officials to issue special events permits to ensure the event can go ahead.

'Numerous courts before me have resisted the temptation to jump into something that hasn't been issued yet,' said Fine. 'Shouldn't I wait to see if the city manager issues the special events permit?'
'We're in this limbo state prior to the issuance of a special events permit,' he added. 'It's a very uncomfortable place for a court to be.'

Las Vegas is set to become the third American host city on the F1 circuit next year, while races have previously been held in Indianapolis (2000-07) and Phoenix (1989-91).
