Queen won't be attending Commonwealth Games opening ceremony

Queen won't be attending Commonwealth Games opening ceremony This year's Games will be poignant for the 96-year-old as they will be the first since the passing of Prince Philip. The sporting tournament kicks off in Birmingham from July 28 to August 8.

Prince Louis has made himself a star of the Royal Family in recent months. The hilarious four-year-old is still "my baby" according to his adoring mum Kate Middleton, but for the public he looks like a cheeky monkey.

From cocking a snook at Kate over the Jubilee weekend, to shoving his hands over his ears in the RAF flyover, the little munchkin knows how to make a scene. We love him for it, but there might be one great-grandchild of the Queen who's even cheekier.

Olympian and 21st in-line to the throne Zara Tindall is married to ex-England rugby star Mike. Speaking on the 'The Good, The Bad & The Rugby' podcast, Mike laughed about his "bold" 7-year-old daughter Mia who recently moved school.

Queen Elizabeth’s Story Is More Tragic Than People Know

Queen Elizabeth’s Story Is More Tragic Than People Know Queen Elizabeth’s Story Is More Tragic Than People KnowMost of us know her simply as “The Queen,” but she was born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor on April 21, 1926. At the time of her birth, her paternal grandfather George V was king, and her father was his second son. This meant that she was third in line for the throne—and unlikely to ever come close to it. Well, fate had something different in mind.

He said: "[Mia is] generally pretty bold, but the first time she was a little bit nervous walking in. Wasn't very nervous when she walked out, and then Lena, she's still at nursery but we've swapped her nursery into the school to prepare her for next year. She was very, very clingy, but now she's fully into it."

It's not quite clear what Mike means when he calls Mia "bold", but if she's anything like the charming Prince Louis then she's probably a good laugh too. She' was filmed playfighting with her younger sister Lena at a recent Jubilee event, according to OK!, and she's also been photographed sitting on her dad's head - though the rugby player is probably used to this.

Why Prince Charles is at the Commonwealth Games opening instead of the Queen

Why Prince Charles is at the Commonwealth Games opening instead of the Queen Prince Charles is one of many royals attending the Commonwealth Games. Many royals are also big sports fans, so not only is it a matter of duty, it's also an exciting time for them to be able to see some of the world's best compete in a variety of sports. The Commonwealth Games will run from July 28 to August 8 this year and we can expect members of the Royal Family to attend a number of events throughout the tournament.

Perhaps the funniest photo of her is at the same Jubilee event sticking her tongue out and waving her arms while a very serious leader of the opposition Keir Starmer looks on. Whatever the royal tikes get up to you can be sure it will always be loved by the public who have a great time watching them grow up.
