Düsseldorf gets German U-19 national players

Three times Baah was in the squad of FC Watford last season, but he hoped for a mission in the Premier League. The wing player should now start in Düsseldorf. Fortuna loaned the 19-year-old from relegated Watford for a year, secured a purchase option and gave the midfielder the number 14.

"With Kwadwo Baah we get a development capable of developing player who already has a lot and fits perfectly into our requirement profile with his pace and physique," explained sports director Christian Weber. "In England he demonstrated his talent at a very young age."

Baah, born in Stuttgart, went to the island at a young age, from 2019 to 2021 he played 37 games in the League One, the third highest league in England. "The fact that he is regularly part of the German U-19 national team underlines his skills," said Weber, Baah has been running four times for the German offspring so far.

At first he is looking forward to the Fortuna and is "grateful to have the opportunity to play for such a big club in Germany". "I am a player who is looking for the one-against-one situations and comes over the pace," says Baah himself. Tempo over the wings, "that's how I want to help the team".
