The 38-year-old Prince had previously witnessed how some of his previous relationships, due to the intensive examination of the public, broke apart, which is why he made special efforts to make his romance with Meghan to keep under lock and key for a long and just possible.

In the new 'Harry and Meghan' documentary series, Harry revealed: "I knew that the only way, as it might work, was to keep everything calm as long as possible." Harry admitted that he had therefore been worried about continuing to pursue the romance with Meghan, but was still determined to try. "Despite my fear, I just opened my heart ... to see what will happen," said the prince. Harry also explained that he could see strong similarities between the 41-year-old Meghan and his late mother, who died in a car accident in August 1997 at the age of 36. Harry therefore decided to move to America with Meghan to better protect his family. The prince, who raises the children Archie (3) and Lilibet (18 months) with the celebrity, announced: "Especially after what happened to my mother. You know, I didn't want the story to be repeated."
