This extraordinary Thai-Pomelo salad provides a vacation mood on your tongue

pomelo = pampel muse x grapefruit

pomelo is my absolute favorite citrus fruit. It grows in Southeast Asia all year round, but has a season with us in winter. The fruit was developed in Israel by crossing the pampel muse and grapefruit and came to Germany for the first time in the mid -1970s. Today the Pomelos sold in Germany are mostly imported from China.

The taste of a Pomelo is unique and an intermediate ending of mandarins, orange, and grapefruit. So not so cute and not so bitter, but still fruity, with a light acidity. The fruits can weigh up to 1 kilogram and it is a small feat of peeling the Pomelo. Because the bowl is very thick and the membrane is bitter, so you really have to remove everything so as not to disturb the enjoyment.
