500 grams flour, 150 milliliters milk, a cube of fresh yeast, 50 grams of sugar, 100 granns butter, 2 eggs (Kl. M), a pinch of salt, 2 tablespoons of vanilla aroma or vanilla sugar, sufficient neutral oil for frying

1. Warm in a saucepan and sift the flour into a bowl and shape a hollow in the middle. Put the yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in the hollow and pour the milk over it. Mix well with the flour. Then cover the dough in a warm place for 30 minutes.

3. Form a thick role from the dough and cut pieces of the same size into 15 to 20. Form this into small balls and let it go on a sheet metal or cutting board for another 30 minutes.

4. Heat the oil in the deep fryer or in a saucepan to approx. 180 degrees and bake the dough balls in it for 2 to 3 minutes until golden yellow and drain well.

5. Finally, fill with a jam or plum stain with a syringe or piping bag, look after with (powder) sugar or collect with sugar glaze.
