A couple from Nantwich have won a wedding worth £4,250 at one of Cheshire's top restaurants after entering a competition. Pippa Craig and Jim Wilcox are set to tie the knot in style, with a tipi, arrival prosecco, a trio of canapes, a dried-flower table centrepiece and a three-course sit down meal laid on at the Boars Head, Nantwich.
The couple will be assisted in their big day by a personal events planner after winning the competition set up by the venue. A year after their engagement, and with no wedding plans on the horizon, the couple said the plans “seemed like perfect timing, so we knew we had to enter."
The couple added: “We were so, so hopeful that we were going to be the winners so to receive the call was amazing.

“The rustic charm and relaxed atmosphere, alongside the countryside feel of the Tipi is exactly what we were after. We felt so comfortable at the venue and we know how beautiful the food and service is already! It really is the complete package.”
The tipi is a year-round option for weddings, according to the Boars Head, offering a wedding in the grounds amongst the fresh countryside air in the summer, and in the winter is fully heated with a central feature fire. Pippa and Jim added: “Winning the competition means the world to us."
