Heartbroken Mel B ‘vows to stay close to her family after dad's death’
Mel B reportedly wants to “make amends” and repair her relationship with her family following a nine-year feud. The former Spice Girls star shared a heartbreaking photo of herself finally reconciled with her sister Danielle on her late father Martin’s deathbed following a falling out over her husband Stephen Belafonte. According to editors at Britain’s Closer magazine, sources close to the star say the death of her dad has motivated Mel into finally repairing her fractured relationship with her family. Mel, who has daughters Phoenix, 18, Angel, nine, and five-year-old Madison, had a very public falling out with mum Andrea and sister Danielle in 2007, after the pair were very vocal in their dislike of Mel’s husband. “Losing her dad has made Mel re-evaluate everything and she has said she doesn’t want to waste any more years missing out on family time,” a source told Closer magazine. Mel shared a picture showing the pair holding their late father’s hands at the time of his passing indicating the sisters had managed to put their differences aside. It came months after Mel was visited by her mum and sister on the set of her Channel 5 TV show Lip Sync Battle. Mel shared the photo with her social media followers as she announced the sad news of Martin’s death after his battle with cancer ended earlier this month (Mar17).

Melanie Brown and Stephen Belafonte are still in the midst of a divorce, but they decided to give family therapy a try for the sake of the kids.
According to TMZ, Mel B and Stephen met with Dr. Charles Sophy, Mel's longtime psychiatrist, at his home. Mel's three kids -- Phoenix, 18, Angel, 9, and Madison, 5, whom she and Stephen share -- also accompanied them.
The couple drove separately to the meeting, and the kids drove in a separate car with a nanny.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives carried out the search.Video footage obtained by TMZ showed Stephen Belafonte as he was met by officers outside his property in Los Angeles on Friday night.
"It's a breakthrough because up to this point in the breakup, a family session would have been out of the question," TMZ said, adding that the former couple really just wants to make sure that the kids are ok.
The "America's Got Talent" judge filed for divorce from Stephen on Dec. 28, 2016, but the news was only made public on March 20.
In her filing, Mel cited "irreconcilable differences" for the breakup and asked the court to terminate spousal support for Stephen.
They had been married 10 years.
The split was a bit of a shock, especially after Mel praised Stephen on Instagram in late February, two months after separating.
"My baby boo @stephenthinks11 we have been through everything that would normally tear couples apart and we have come out on the other side stronger," she wrote alongside a shot of her kissing him on the cheek. "You loved me before I even new how to really love myself, you are my world honey..."
Mel B's first husband fears for their daughter's safety .
Mel B's first husband Jimmy Gulzar insists his ex-wife has failed to keep their daughter Phoenix out of danger. The Dutch-born dancer was married to the former Spice Girl from 1998-2000 and their child is now 18. Mel B and second husband Stephen Belafonte's former nanny Lorraine Gilles filed a defamation lawsuit against Mel last week (ends 21Apr17), disputing her claims that she is a "homewrecker, prostitute, and extortionist". Lorraine also included information that she engaged in three-way sex sessions with Mel and Stephen. TMZ asked Jimmy about the latest drama on Friday (21Apr17). "If it’s all true, that means that my daughter has seen everything while she has a father standing on the other side telling her (Mel), 'Bring my child to me'." He continues on the subject of Mel, "As a mother, the first thing what you do (sic) is, I would say so as a parent, to get your child out of any dangerous situation possible. In my eyes she failed to do it." Asked about claims that Stephen owns a gun, Jimmy laughed bitterly before revealing, "About seven years ago, I reported this gun. Melanie knew about it, her mother knew about her it, sister knew about it, bless her (late) dad, even her dad knew about it." He also reveals that he pursued every avenue he could think of to try to protect their daughter. "We all knew about it (gun), we all told her (Mel) about it and she denied it. I always knew that my child was in danger.
