Adele battles nerves as she wows fans at the Glastonbury festival
The star switched the lyrics of her chart-topping record to, "I'm at Glastonbury dreaming about who I used to be", as she took in her location. "Glastonbury means the world to me, I'm not even lying," she said later. "I've always wanted to do this my whole life but I've been too scared." Adele, who famously suffers from stage fright, previously ruled out ever performing at Glastonbury due to her fear of the big stage. She said last year: "I think I have made myself pretty clear on Glastonbury. "The crowds are too big – I don't know if I could do it." On stage, the 28-year-old songwriter then found a young girl in the crowd and told her she's been coming to the festival "since I was your age" and invited her on stage for an impromptu selfie. The star, said at the end of the 90-minute performance: "I didn't want to come on and now I don't want to go off. "I have never been so moved by anything in my life… This is, by far, the best moment of my life so far." Adele shares gym shot as she prepares for tour
Adele is preparing for her upcoming world tour with some intensive gym sessions, but appears to be finding the workouts a bit tough judging by her latest Instagram post. Adele shared a shot on the site which showed her grimacing in pain as she pulled some kind of weighted cable. She captioned the picture: "Getting ready".The mother-of-one wowed fans with her slimmer figure when she made her much anticipated musical comeback last year following a three year hiatus. She revealed recently that her thinner frame is down to a strict diet and gym sessions.
Adele has floored her social media followers with a series of striking photos in which she has ditched her trademark winged eyeliner and gone completely make-up free. The notoriously private Hello hitmaker delighted her fans as she gave them a rare glimpse into her life offstage as she enjoyed some rare downtime during her tour.
In the candid black-and-white snaps posted on her Instagram account, the 28-year-old can be seen looking as radiant as ever as she enjoyed the outdoors during her stay in Vancouver, where she performed at the Rogers Arena on Wednesday night.
One photo sees the British beauty basking in the sun while sitting outside on a terrace, wearing a stylish maxi dress with sheer lace detailing, her hair swept to the side for ultimate laidback glamour.

In a separate photo, Adele showed off her sense of humour as she headed backstage at the arena ahead of her performance, donning a security guard jumpsuit and jokingly pouting for the camera, once again showing off her glowing complexion by opting to wear no make-up, and sweeping her hair up into a messy top knot.
The Set Fire to the Rain singer also shared a sweet photo of herself visiting Denver in Colorado, lounging in a pool and laughing with friends as she put her head under a waterfall feature.
Despite being renowned for her flawless make-up, Adele has previously admitted that she doesn't know how to create her look herself.
"I can't actually do my own hair and make-up, which is a first world problem," she told the Daily Star. "But the good thing about it is no one recognises me when I go to the shops or to the park because it doesn't look like me."
Explaining that this means she doesn't "need to go out in disguise", Adele quipped that because people fail to recognise her, she has a reputation for being a "hermit".
She said: "People think I'm a hermit but it's just because no one recognises me when I go out."
Adele has been sick for weeks .
Adele has been battling illness for weeks on the road. The singer was forced to cancel a second show at Phoenix's Talking Stick Resort Arena in Arizona on Wednesday (17Aug16) after a bad cold left her feeling too ill to perform, but in a video update to fans, posted online, the Rolling in the Deep singer revealed she has been suffering with sickness for an extended period of time.
