NCIS HAWAII fans finally got the first trailer for the new CBS drama recently as Vanessa Lachey's Jane Tennant showed off her crime-fighting skills. However, some eagle-eyed fans are convinced a huge clue in the promo may have just given away a crossover with another Hawaii-based series.

NCIS: Hawai'i is set to premiere later today (September 20) in the US, but there's already talk of a possible crossover between Hawai'i and its parent show NCIS.
Ahead of Hawai'i's first ever episode, both NCIS boss Steven D Binder and Hawai'i showrunner Christopher Silber have admitted that there's always chance the two series will meet in the future.
There's just the small matter of getting the latest spin-off's debut season out of the way first.

Speaking to TVLine about a potential visit to the Aloha State, Binder explained that although nothing concrete has been "discussed", he and Silber have worked together "for a really long time". "That always makes those sorts of things easier," he added.
Silber is equally on board with the idea, saying that he's "always open to any sort of crossover that CBS will allow." So, that's promising.
As for CBS Entertainment boss Kelly Kahl, he's admitted that the idea of a crossover sounds "fun". "We just want to get the first batch of Hawai'i under our belt," he said, sensibly.
"There's some cleanup work we have to do."NCIS left us fearing for Mark Harmon's Gibbs in the season 18 finale last May and as season 19 gears up for its premiere, we are starting to get some hints about the character's fate.

"And then we can talk about the fun stuff."

Vanessa Lachey leads NCIS' new title as Jane Tennant, the first woman in charge of NCIS Pearl Harbour.
"Jane Tennant has thrived and risen through the ranks by equal parts confidence and strategy in a system that has pushed back on her every step of the way," the official synopsis reads.
Also starring Yasmine Al-Bustami and Jason Antoon, the series will follow Jane and her team as she balances "duty to family and country, investigates high-stakes crimes involving military personnel, national security and the mysteries of the island itself."
NCIS airs on CBS in the US. NCIS: Hawai'i premieres Monday, September 20 at 10pm on CBS.
