EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders' Sharon Watts has made a surprising decision about the granddaughter she had no idea she had until recently, baby Alyssa.
During Friday's (November 26) episode, Sharon became suspicious about Alyssa's mum Jada's true intentions as she brought up a conversation about money. As fans will know, Jada abandoned Alyssa on Sharon, her brother Zack Hudson and Martin Fowler's doorstep.
After much confusion over who the dad actually was, they later spotted Jada near the square and found out the truth – Sharon's late teenage son Dennis was Alyssa's dad.
Bet you did not see that coming!Alyssa was left on Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) doorstep several weeks ago, with a note attached from her mum, suggesting that one of the occupants of the flat was the child’s dad.

At the start of Friday's episode, Phil was less than happy to see Sharon and Jada together after he became instantly unsure of the youngster when he met her unexpectedly the day before. Phil seemed pretty unconvinced by Jada's story and urged her to stay away from Sharon and Alyssa before telling the former he didn't trust her.
Sharon initially snapped back tonight though, assuring Phil that just because he was "out for everything [he] could get" that doesn't mean Jada was a money grabber.
But that all changed a little later on after Jada brought up money to Sharon, telling her she must be "well loaded" before suggesting a trip to the zoo, something she wouldn't be able to afford on her own.
Sharon discovered Alyssa is Dennis' daughter in last night's episode.Alyssa was left on Sharon’s doorstep a few weeks ago, with a note attached asking for the baby to be looked after.

Having a sudden change of heart (which came after Phil encouraged Martin to plant the seed in her mind about applying for full custody), Sharon admitted to Zack and her ex-husband Phil that she doesn't think the young mum can be trusted and may have had ulterior motives in bringing little Alyssa to her doorstep.
"She only comes to see us because she thinks we're loaded," Sharon said, though Zack disagreed.
Worried about what Jada really wanted from her, Sharon asserted that she'd be trying for full custody of her granddaughter instead of the shared custody she'd initially planned on.
"I need to do what's best for Alyssa. I'm going to go for full care. I'm going to do whatever it takes," she said.
Will Sharon be successful in court?
EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One.
