Coronation Street's Steve McDonald will face a major dilemma in December as he feels torn between the dreams of his two daughters.
Steve (Simon Gregson)'s worries begin when his teenage daughter Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) finds out that she has been predicted to get high grades in her exams and begins to contemplate her future. Later on, she reveals that she plans to go to university to study Business.
Coronation Street's Zeedan is caught out by Ryan again as money laundering story continues
After hearing about Amy's plans, Steve is forced to admit to wife Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford) that he promised his other daughter, Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell), the money from the sale of the flat so that she can spend it on her recently-planned wedding to Curtis Delamere (Sam Retford).

With that money apparently promised to Emma, Steve is left unsure as to how he'll fund Amy's university fees as well.
Later in the week, as Tracy's eyes bore into him, Steve suggests to Emma that she and Curtis scale back their wedding so that he can help to pay for Amy's uni fees too.
But Amy has overheard their exchange and, as a result, she reveals that she would rather go to a local uni and live at home, which will save them cash.

Tracy, however, isn't at all happy that Amy is now planning to use her inheritance from her late grandmother Deirdre in order to fund her education, so that Emma can splash the cash on her wedding.
Has Steve really heard the last of this matter? With Tracy around, it seems unlikely...
Curtis and Emma will face further wedding trouble next week when Curtis tells Emma that he only wants a small celebration, as he doesn't get along with his family and doesn't have many friends in the UK to invite.
Emma decides to invite Curtis' family anyway, but is shocked when his dad arrives – who Curtis had claimed was dead. Why has Curtis been lying to Emma?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, December 8 and Friday, December 10 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
