The soap has made way in the schedules for the third-round FA Cup tie as league two team Swindon hope for some giant-killing exploits against the mighty Manchester City – who’ve already won the FA Cup six times.

They're devastated by what transpires.Faye, as viewers know, has been taking driving lessons, and last week, Emma agreed to take over as her instructor, after a mishap left Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) unable to continue teaching her. Coverage of the football starts at 7.30pm, straight after Emmerdale, and finishes at 10.20pm, so Coronation Street has been bumped from its usual Friday slot.
When is Corrie back?
There has already been an extra visit to Weatherfield this week as an episode was aired on Tuesday, but for fans eager to discover how Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) is coping with the shock diagnosis of his heart condition and whether he’ll ever manage to tell Sally (Sally Dynevor) about it, you’ll be relieved to hear that it’s back in its usual Monday time slots of 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
Elsewhere, Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Chesney (Sam Aston) will face heartbreak during Monday’s instalment as they discover young Joseph is being bullied at school.
