Dame Prue, who joined The Great British Bake Off in 2017, has set up a TV production company to make factual entertainment shows, teaming up with three other women, including her daughter Li-Da Kruger, to launch Relish.
She says it will liaise with stars to see what type of show they would be interested in.
Dame Prue said: "I've started a production company with my daughter, who is in TV.
"She and two of her friends have decided, 'Why are we doing this for someone else, for someone else's company? Why don't we do it for us?'

"It's really exciting. Our USP will be that the talent will be asked what they would like - I think they're very seldom asked. There are quite a lot of people I know now, thanks to Bake Off, and I can say 'if you wanted to make a TV show what would it be?' We can try to get that off the ground.
"We have set up Relish and have huge ambitions.
"We haven't even got the first commission - we are right at the start-up.
"I'm going not going to give Bake Off up. My three partners are all in their 40s and really know what they want."
Describing her energy to work, she continued: "It's almost like a disease. "I just find things so interesting and find it very difficult to turn things down."
Dame Prue also believes her Channel 4 show provides a great escape from real life.
"Bake Off is more than just about baking, it's about friendship. It's such a gentle show but the reason it is so successful - especially now - is that it is a kind of refuge from Covid, politics and the rest."
