© Bang Showbiz Ella Vaday has landed a movie role The former finalist of 'RuPaul’s Drag Race UK', who finished as runner-up in the third series, is moving on to her next venture as she's set to star in comedy flick ‘Sumotherhood’.
The film, which will be directed by Adam Deacon – the BAFTA-winning star of British indie dramas ‘Kidulthood’ and ‘Adulthood’ - will also feature a star-studded cast, including pop star Ed Sheeran, Danny Sapani, Jennifer Saunders and Kevin Bishop.
Ella told The Daily Star newspaper's Hot TV column: “I was thrilled when I got this part. It’s incredible.

Singer Sheeran is set to find out the result of his High Court battle over the copyright of his 2017 hit Shape Of You. A judge’s ruling over whether the song copied part of another artist’s track is due to be delivered on Wednesday.Sheeran and his Shape Of You co-writers, Snow Patrol’s John McDaid and producer Steven McCutcheon, denied ripping off 2015 song Oh Why by Sami Chokri.
The drag superstar has already filmed her scenes for the British action-comedy, which is set in London.
She added: “I play a drag queen and she’s a larger-than-life character that works at a club.
“She’s a bit flirtatious and sassy.”
Ella credits her success to her stint on the BBC show.
She said: “The show creates amazing opportunities. It’s absolutely fab.”
Adam recently described the movie as an "explosion of fun", but admitted it also covers some "serious subject matters".
