The best documentaries about your favorite stars

The best documentaries about your favorite stars Ever wondered what some celebrities are really like? Well, sometimes they allow us mere mortals a look into their private lives through some great documentaries. Indeed, some of the best docs ever made have been about the truth behind the fame of a celebrity, and the ones in this gallery are no exception. James Blunt, former British mega-star who is perhaps the most self-aware and self-deprecating celebrity of our times, is getting his own documentary. The feature will be called 'You're Beautiful,' after the singer's most famous hit. It has jokingly been described as "the story of an ageing, British pop star, still fighting for relevance some 17 years after his star momentarily twinkled." The documentary will follow Blunt as he powers through his 2022 'Greatest Hit Tour,' the name of which is another example of his sense of humor about his own career. The documentary will also explore Blunt's past, from his childhood to his experience in the British Army during the Kosovo War, to his making of the UK's best-selling album of the 2000s. The style has been described as "'Spinal Tap' meets 'Alan Partridge.'" Mulling over his decisions, Blunt commented that, "In hindsight, I’m not sure letting them film this was a good idea.” From Amy Winehouse to Alexander McQueen, these documentaries will make you laugh, cry, and have a more intimate picture of the celebs you love.
