Last night’s EastEnders episode saw Frankie Lewis (Rose Ayling-Ellis) leave the Square for pastures new, as she headed to Scotland with the family of the girl she tutors.

EastEnders took to social media after the episode to share a special moment on set, as Rose finished filming her final scenes.

In the video, Rose said a heartfelt goodbye to fans, thanking them for making the show, and Frankie, possible. She was also gifted a famous Albert Square plaque, signed by fellow cast members and crew.

She then paid tribute to her on screen family, the Carters, saying that the family aspect of the show is what she will miss most.

She then went on to thank the EastEnders cast and crew, claiming that what she has learnt on the BBC soap will stay with her for life.

At the end of the video, she dropped the ambiguous phrase, ‘bye-bye for now’.

Her most recent storyline saw her be attacked on the way home from a night out, after being harassed by a man throughout the evening.

Rose was the first deaf actress to be cast on the show and has inspired many fans with disabilities. In 2021, she won Strictly Come Dancing with partner Giovanni, after wowing audiences with her dance skills.

The future looks bright for Rose, and we can’t wait to see what she does next!
