Things were not looking good for Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) at the end of tonight’s Emmerdale, as she laid in hospital on a ventilator with a possible brain injury following a vicious attack.
Liv was surprised at home by Sandra (Joanne Mitchell)’s accomplice, Terry (Neil Bell), who insisted that she retract her statement to the police about Sandra. When Liv refused and tried to call the police there was a struggle, during which Terry flung her across the room and she banged her head as she fell.
Terry tried to leg it, but was stopped in the doorway by Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), making a surprise return to the village to see his sister. Aaron fought with Terry and the police quickly arrived and arrested both men. Meanwhile Liv was ‘unresponsive’ and was rushed to hospital.

Vinny refused to let him stay, saying Liv wanted nothing to do with him. ‘You abandoned her when she was on a murder charge,’ he said. Clearly upset, Aaron left the hospital.
Meanwhile there was a tense wait for Vinny, Paddy and Chas as they were told that Liv would be kept on the ventilator overnight, but the extent of her injuries wouldn’t be known until the next day.
This shocking incident comes the day after reports surfaced that Isobel Steele is set to leave the show and her exit involves the death of Liv.
