Daniel’s (Matthew Chambers) bright but occasionally troublesome teenaged daughter has turned up unexpectedly and has announced she no longer wants to live with her mother, Lisa, but wants now to live with Daniel and Zara (Elisabeth Dermot Walsh) in Letherbridge.
This could be a problem. Zara suggests Izzie return to Nottingham and stay with a friend. Daniel accuses her of wanting her to make Izzie homeless. Zara rubbishes this suggestion: there is nothing wrong with children living away from their parents, she says.

Meanwhile, Daniel struggles to get in touch with Lisa while Izzie spreads the word about her ongoing row with her mother with her friends via social media. She then antagonises both Daniel and Zara by not getting dressed all day and not doing any homework.

It is decided that they will try to get her into Ravenford, the school already attended by their young son, Joe. But Izzie isn’t keen on this at all and does not cooperate with their plan for her. Soon Izzie is rowing with Daniel as well as with Lisa.
