  Jon Cryer First TV Follow-Up After Playing Supergirl's Lex Luthor Is Officially On The Way After playing Lex Luthor on Supergirl, Jon Cryer is returning to his comedy roots.According to Deadline, the untitled series will star Cryer, Donald Faison and Abigail Spencer, and it’s reported to come out next fall. All three of these actors have been on mainstay network television shows, so seeing them all come together will be fun.

Emmerdale actor Michael Wildman has reportedly quit the long-running ITV soap, after playing Al Chapman for three years.

Al first arrived in Emmerdale back in August 2019, but it seems his time in the village could almost be up.

After the news was originally reported by The Sun, Digital Spy reached out to a spokesperson for Emmerdale who declined to comment.

Wildman has reportedly bowed out of the soap to pursue other acting roles.

His character has been especially prominent on Emmerdale in recent weeks, as Al has been swept up in a steamy affair with his former enemy Chas Dingle.

With Cain and Al set to clash at gunpoint, this could mark Wildman's final scenes on the soap – although nothing official has been confirmed as of yet.

Teasing ahead to Cain and Al's showdown, Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain, revealed their fight will turn "messy".

Reflecting on his filming experience, Hordley said: "It was nice for the characters, and for Michael and I, to do a fight scene and get physical, which was fun to do."

Reports of Wildman's departure follow Isobel Steele's exit, after her character Liv Dingle was killed off in Emmerdale's deadly storm week as part of the show's 50th anniversary episodes.

Katherine Dow Blyton also recently left the soap, with her character Harriet Finch also dying after being swept up in the dangerous weather.

Another Emmerdale was recently announced, as ITV has confirmed Fiona Wade is set to leave the soap and will be filming her farewell scenes as Priya in the coming months.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV, and streams on the ITV Hub.
