Darren Bent lauds 'fantastic' Liverpool forward Diogo Jota

Darren Bent lauds 'fantastic' Liverpool forward Diogo Jota Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has been in sensational form so far this season and is receiving praise from all quarters. The 25-year-old made an instant impact when arriving on Merseyside following a somewhat surprising £41million switch from Wolves (BBC). Despite missing 21 games through injury last term, the Portuguese ace ended the campaign with 13 goals and one assist across all competitions. Already on track to surpass those numbers following a goal in the Carabao Cup quarter-final triumph over Leicester City in midweek, Darren Bent was full of praise for the star whilst appearing on talkSPORT.

Liverpool are reportedly ‘monitoring’ Olympiacos star Aguibou Camara as the January transfer window gets underway.

The Reds have been left short in the midfield department in recent weeks following injuries to Thiago, Naby Keita and Curtis Jones.

Camara has been on the radar at Anfield for some time and has seemingly attracted the attention of Leicester, Newcastle United and AC Milan.

Now according to a report from Calciomercato, as cited by Milan Posts on Twitter, Liverpool remain keen on the 20-year-old.

Virals: West Ham facing 'questions' over future of Alphonse Areola West Ham could reportedly be set to face ‘questions’ regarding the future of on-loan goalkeeper Alphonse Areola. The 28-year-old arrived at the London Stadium on a season-long loan deal but is yet to make a single Premier League appearance. Instead, the World Cup winner has been reserved for Carabao Cup and Europa League outings whilst Lukasz Fabianski retains the gloves in the league. Now, according to a report from reputable French newspaper L’Equipe (via Sport Witness), as cited by Talkin West Ham #GSBOUT on Twitter, the Hammers are at risk of losing the Frenchman.

The report claims that the nine-cap Guinea ace will be ‘under observation’ on Merseyside during the Africa Cup of Nations.

So far this season Camara has scored five times and provided four assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.

Valued at £2.7million and under contract in Greece until 2025 (Transfermarkt), the report has tipped the asking price to ‘soar’ should the attacking midfielder thrive this month.

Likely to feature alongside Keita in the Guinean midfield against Zimbabwe, Malawi and Senegal in Group B, suitors will certainly know more about their target over the coming weeks.

Already billed as an expert ball-carrier, Jurgen Klopp will no doubt be paying close attention to the starlet’s success or otherwise.

Virals: Liverpool have 'shown an interest' in Fulham starlet Fabio Carvalho .
Liverpool are reportedly among a host of clubs to have ‘shown an interest’ in Fulham starlet Fabio Carvalho. The Reds have been heavily linked with a move for the 19-year-old and current manager Marco Silva is believed to want the future resolved sooner rather than later. Silva also said he expects clarity on Fabio Carvalho's future this month: "I expect, during this month, an answer from him." Also added he expects player departures, Christie included.
