SNCF: one train in two in regions on Tuesday, and traffic variously disturbed in Ile-de-France

The city of Strasbourg is the first to embark on the adventure with the inauguration this Sunday of the European Metropolitan Express Network (RELE).
Sunday, Paris will no longer be the only city in France to have a RER. This December 11, Strasbourg officially inaugurates its "ISMA" for European Metropolitan Express Network. This corresponds to the will of Emmanuel Macron of to develop these trains networks at the regional level . The launch of this RER Strasbourg will allow, by August, to circulate 1,000 additional trains each week. Or an increase in traffic by 43%.

The trains will run from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and during weekends. This project "opens the way", estimates the Minister of Transport Clément Beaune . "It was also the meaning of the message of the President of the Republic a few days ago: it is not that Paris," he insists.
and to continue, "we will see the exact number, but when we speak of a dozen projects, already studied, already worked for some of them, we know that we can do metropolitan express networks throughout our territory" , adds the Minister, specifying that "the State will respond" and will define the calendars, the layouts, the various projects and their funding "from the first months of 2023".
