A woman has reportedly been 'punched in the face' by a strange man at a West London train station. A man posted details of the incident on social media, after his fiancé was assaulted. He says she's been left 'traumatised' by the incident. He added: "Yesterday (November 19), at approx. 8pm my fiancé got assaulted/punched in the face by a man at Kew Gardens station. She is traumatised by the event.

"He was with his family, an elderly man, wife and son (looked aged 20). Completely shocked this would happen in Kew and especially a man punching a young woman in front of his family!!!" The BTP confirmed that they are investigating the incident and anyone with information should contact them.

The full statement from the force reads: "Officers were called to Kew Gardens station at 8.26pm on 19 November following reports of an assault. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who witnessed what happened can contact BTP by texting 61016 and quoting reference 577 of 19/11/22."
It comes as the British Transport Police hunt other suspects around the capital. Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman late at night on an Overground train between Camden Road and Stratford on July 23.

Cops are also searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman and then exposed himself to her after she challenged him on a DLR train at Royal Albert station on the evening of October 17.
Officers also want to speak to a man after another man was knocked out cold on a service from Liverpool Street station to Romford on October 16. Two men reportedly broke into a fight after sitting next to each other on the train.
Police are also investigating a sexual assault at Tottenham Court Road Underground station on October 20 after a woman was touched inappropriately on Platform 4 for the Northern line. The suspect escaped via Platform 2 on the Central line Eastbound.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious by the British Transport PoliceSadly they were unable to save the person and they were pronounced dead at the scene. Officers from the force are still working to identify the person and let their family know. A BTP spokesperson said: "The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
