The balance sheet of the tropical storm Ana which hit several countries of southern Africa, climbed 70 deaths, according to the last counts made, Thursday, January 27, by the authorities of Mozambique, Malawi and Madagascar. Governments and relief from the three countries are always evaluating the extent of the damage caused by the heavy rains that started last week on the coast bordering the Indian Ocean and the Mozambique Canal. Some 41 people were killed in Madagascar , 18 in Mozambique and 11 in Malawi. The storm also touched Zimbabwe but no death was reported.
