Tested: 2021 Jaguar F-Pace P400 Gains More Refinement than Speed

Tested: 2021 Jaguar F-Pace P400 Gains More Refinement than Speed Jaguar's top six-cylinder luxury SUV is more polished than ever yet slower than before. We'll get the bad news out of the way first: That new engine did not perform as well as the supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 it replaces. We tested the more powerful, 395-hp P400 configuration—there's also a 335-hp P340 version—and it trailed the previous 380-hp F-Pace S by a half second both in its sprint to 60 mph (5.5 seconds) and through the quarter-mile (14.0 seconds at 103 mph).

California-based EV startup Fisker will be showing the production version of its flagship model at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show. The fully electric Ocean compact crossover will launch in late 2022 with a starting price of $37,499 and is claimed to deliver an estimated 250 to 300 miles of driving range. In a recent discussion with co-founder and CEO Henrik Fisker and senior director of interior Nadya Arnaout, Fisker shed some light on the Ocean's interior design and customization options and what we can expect to see at the auto show unveiling.

With the 2022 Fisker Ocean electric SUV on track to begin production in November, two models are making their way to the L.A. Auto Show. At least one of the preview models will feature a colorful interior, and the EV carmaker insists that a bright white interior will not be the only option. "Cars have been suffering from a bit of boredom when it comes to colors. We all know that about 70 percent of cars are either white, black, or silver. It is the same with black and gray interiors," said Henrik Fisker. Besides big sellers such as white and black, Fisker will be offering a range of interior colors, including on the base model, as well as the highest trim.

2022 Honda Passport books better looks, introduces TrailSport sub-brand

2022 Honda Passport books better looks, introduces TrailSport sub-brand We'll see way more of "TrailSport" on future Honda SUVs and trucks, and the the Passport isn't a bad place to start. The new Passport's front end sees the biggest changes with a new grille and crossbar treatment, wider-looking headlights and redesigned skid claddings that Honda said provide a tougher look for the new front bumper. If the design looks familiar, it borrows heavily from the new Ridgeline pickup. That's not a bad thing. The rear gains a new bumper, too, and the exhaust outlets are larger this time around. Chrome accents are flush on the EX-L trim, while the Elite and newly minted TrailSport trim feature gloss black elements.

Fisker says it has additional interior surprises, that, unfortunately, we are not getting a glimpse of until closer to the Ocean's official release in 2022. However, Fisker did disclose a few details, including an apparently groundbreaking technology used for forming the seats into unconventional shapes and laying out the seams in a way not seen before. The company also filed a patent for "interesting usability" in the infotainment screen that it claims no other automaker has built into cars yet. Among other noteworthy tidbits: the interior will be easier to clean than is typical, have plenty of storage space, and include a highly versatile center console.
