Ducati-Pilot Carlin Dunne was on a record at Pikes Peak mountain race in 2019 when he crashed shortly before the aim of extreme soil waves with his Ducati V4 Streetfighter prototypes and shortly thereafter his injuries succeeded. After two years, the Board of Pikes Peak International Hill Climb has now decided to complete the motorcycle competition within the framework of the annual race. "Motorcycle competitions have been part of the history of the race since 1916 and were exciting and tragic both for the participants and the fans," said Fred Veitch, interim chairman of the board. "This was a long process and a difficult decision, but we believe that it is the right decision and currently in the best interest of the organization."
2020 and 2021 Already without motorcycles

Super athletes excluded from the regulations
Already years ago, the organizers had adjusted the motorcycles regulations so that super sport motorcycles were no longer approved.
