Maybe my subconscious seamlessly associates …Maybe my subconscious seamlessly associates crisp cool air, dry multicolored leaf piles, and the sweet and spicy taste of pumpkin. Whatever connects me to this perennial treat, I love it and it definitely makes the season for me.

You will need some Oreo cookies, use whatever kind you like and a bag of white chocolate melting wafers, about 16 ounces should work great.
First you need to melt the candy melts in a microwave safe bowl. Using the microwave heat them for 30 seconds a time and stir in between until they are fully melted and the white chocolate is smooth.
Next, use a fork to carefully submerge each Oreo into the chocolate. Tap off the excess liquid chocolate and then scrape along the edge of the bowl or use a knife to smooth out the bottom so it’s able to sit flat and have no excess dripping off the edges.
Finally, place the Oreos on a baking sheet that is lined with a sheet of parchment paper to keep the chocolate from sticking!
Cookies should sit until they are completely cooled and dry. They can be stored for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
You actually don’t have to fudge coat the Oreo’s yourself if you can find them during the holiday season. Sometimes these white chocolate or white fudge Oreo’s are really easy to find and sometimes people can’t get them at all.

There’s no need to pay $100 on eBay or something like that. You can make your own with the simple coating process I’ve shared below. That said, if they’re in the stores during the holidays and you want to grab some to skip that first part of the process…go for it! They’ll work for the recipe and taste great without any extra work on your part.
If you are coating your own you can totally use whatever flavor of Oreo’s you like. Peppermint ones would be good during the holidays but you can also use chocolate Oreo’s, vanilla ones, or any other funky flavor you can come up with!
Make sure if you are chocolate coating them yourself you let them fully cool and set before you try and decorate them or it will get messy very quickly!
Take a chocolate covered Oreo and use frosting as glue, sprinkle & m&m the Oreo cookies to look like Christmas tree ornaments.
Smother the bottom of a mini Reese’s cup with frosting and stick it on the top of the Oreo as an ornament hook.
Wow! Just two steps and you are done! Decorate, add the topper, and boom…these delicious Christmas ornaments are ready to eat. If you usually make cookie trays to gift, these are a must. They’re so cute and everyone loves them.
