Peoria Centennial defensive lineman Dylan "Jett" Roberts, 6-foot-3, 285 pounds, committed to Northwestern over the weekend during his visit to the Illinois school.

"What stood out most to me is the staff and the guys," Roberts said. "Everyone loved where they were and it’s really a family.

"Coach Fitz (Pat Fitzgerald) is an amazing coach, mentor, and man. The facilities are definitely a bonus, but the main reason I committed is the family."

A three-star recruit, Roberts had six offers, including Arizona, Washington State, Colorado and California.

Basha OL James Durand commits to Wisconsin

May 6, 2022

Chandler Basha's 6-foot-6, 280-pound tackle James Durand announced on social media Friday morning that he has committed to Wisconsin to play football.

Durand wrote on Twitter:

"I want to thank basha football and basha high school. I want to thank Coach Kelly for everything. Lastly my family. I’m beyond excited to say that I have committed to further my education and football career at the University of Wisconsin! Joshua 1:9 Romans 11:36 #OnWisconsin"

Durand has been a mainstay of Basha's offensive line since his freshman year.

"He went there (to Wisconsin) and had an unofficial and really enjoyed their culture," Basha coach Chris McDonald said. "It's a big-time program, especially for linemen. He connected well with the coaches and the head coach.

"It's kind of his cup of tea with the type of mental makeup he has. He felt strongly about it and wants to focus on his senior year."

McDonald said Wisconsin may move Durand inside, but believes he can play all five positions across the offensive line.

Williams Field WR Kyler Kasper commits to Oregon

April 17, 2022

Kasper, 6-foot-5, 205 pounds, ranked No. 4 overall by The Arizona Republic in the 2023 Big 150, is one of the most skillful and athletic, physical wide receivers in the country.

But moments after he declared for Oregon, it was reported that Kasper was reclassifying to start his college career this fall with the Ducks.

He had nearly 30 college football scholarship offers, including Ohio State and Notre Dame.

He caught 51 passes for 943 yards and nine touchdowns last season. It didn't matter if he was double-teamed, Kasper's athleticism put separation on defenders to allow him to make big catches in clutch moments.

He comes from a football pedigree. His father Kevin Kasper was a standout wide receiver at the University of Iowa, who played in the NFL.

Coach Chris McDonald said Milkovic still is relatively new to play inside linebacker and will only get better.

"Wyatt will bring a tough, hard-nose approach to Boise State," McDonald said in a text. "He lives in the weight room and is constantly working on his craft as a linebacker."
