Partridge Family Creator Bernard Slade Dead at 89Slade, who was best known for creating the TV series The Partridge Family and the Broadway play Same Time, Next Year, died peacefully at his home Wednesday in Beverly Hills from complications of Lewy Body Dementia, PEOPLE confirms.

Lewis was sentenced to one year in prison after a jury found him guilty of misconduct of a public officer. Sign up for our Newsletters
Lewis' attorney has filed an appeal and asked for bond in the meantime.
Brackett filed a request that the court deny the motion.
The request said there is no entitlement to bond on appeal.
It also cited Nichols. v Patterson, which said a court "should not allow bail where the record shows that the errors assigned are frivolous or the appeal taken merely for delay, or where there is no reasonable ground or probable cause for the appeal."

John Bull, the North Carolina Department of Safety spokesman, confirms Lewis is in custody in a facility “suitable to his background and the length of his sentence.”

The TV personality reportedly died on Saturday.The legendary astrologer and actor has died, Telemundo Puerto Rico reports. He was 87. A family spokesperson, Omar Matos, reportedly confirmed that Mercado died on Saturday at the Auxilio Mutuo Hospital in San Juan. Mercado's cause of death was reportedly renal failure.
