The former Cheers star's death was announced on Monday by her children True, 30, and Lily, 28, as they shared she fought a brief battle with cancer before passing at age 71.
Right after her death was announced, the phrase began to emerge from many users on Twitter, who were actually quoting Alley's own condolence Tweet to Stephen Hawking.
The Scream Queens star shared the message in 2018, after the renowned theoretical physicist passed following a lengthy battle with ALS.

Hawking's passing inspired many celebrities and public figures to express their gratitude for his contributions to the world.
However, Kirstie's Tweet received backlash for what many deemed to be its 'heartless' tone.
The controversial message was subsequently deleted from her social media platform.
Though it seems many people still haven't forgotten, as users Tweeted out the phrase on Monday. While some simply repeated the exact phrase, others added in a 'RIP Kirstie Alley before sharing the quote.'

Alley had not been seen in public for some time with her last-known picture seen during a video in early September as she promoted her profile on Cameo on her Instagram page. There did not appear to be any visible signs that she was ill and appeared with her signature mane of thick blonde hair.
In April of this year she had performed on the television show The Masked Singer.
Alley's relatives said that 'the zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did.
Those who knew Kirstie Alley best are toasting the 'Cheers' star one last time as they say goodbye to the outspoken actor. Alley's death was announced by her two children, Lillie Price Stevenson and William True Stevenson, in a joint social media post. They revealed that their mother had been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer not long before she died.

Alley's friend and confidante John Travolta took to Instagram Monday to pay memorial to the actress, who he worked with on the Look Who's Talking films.
'Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I've ever had. I love you Kirstie,' said Travolta, 68. 'I know we will see each other again.'
Alley shot to fame in the sitcom Cheers which she joined in 1987. She was a Hollywood stalwart for decades, but had not been seen on the big screen since 2015.
