MLB, MLBPA reportedly considering further rules changes for 2020
It appears that the recent run of COVID-19 infections within the Marlins organization has prompted further contemplation of rules changes. The MLB Players Association has reached out to its members to gauge their sentiment regarding a few potential tweaks, per Britt Ghiroli of The Athletic. © Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports The 30-man roster currently is in effect for first 2 weeks of the season. The proposed changes, if enacted, would be in place for the 2020 season. Right now, the 2 matters are only under discussion. No firm decisions made by the union or MLB. https://t.

The move from Linton Maina to VfL Wolfsburg has failed. Martin Kind confirmed this to the Wolfsburger Nachrichten . "The topic is off the table," said the managing director of Hannover 96 .
The Wolves have been the favorite since the end of June for Maina, who moved from SV Empor Berlin to Hanover in 2014. Borussia Mönchengladbach is also said to have dealt with the 21-year-old winger in the meantime.
According to BILD , the negotiations between Wolfsburg and Hanover had stalled because the clubs could not agree on a transfer fee. For example, Hanover initially demanded up to 12 million euros and later up to 8 million euros, Wolfsburg, on the other hand, offered 3.5 million euros including bonus payments of one million - too little for the second division club, who had previously been affected by the sales of Waldemar Anton (VfB Stuttgart) and Emil Hansson (Fortuna Sittard) raised a total of 4.4 million euros.
"We always said that we were planning with Linton, and nothing has changed that," Martin Kind told Wolfsburger Nachrichten. Maina is contractually bound to 96 until 2022, the club will not be forced to sell until next year at the earliest if both parties fail to agree on a contract extension.
In March 2018, Maina made his professional debut for Hanover, and since then he has played a total of 48 competitive games. In the past season he scored 2 goals in 24 second division games and prepared 7 more goals.
