After a few successful TV shows, including the likes of WandaVision and Loki, Disney+ TV shows have become a staple of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But with the movies still anchoring the Marvel universe, it can be a little confusing to keep up with everything when it comes to Marvel movies.
For the uninitiated, Marvel content rolls out in phases — and we’re currently in the middle of Phase 4. It’s currently unclear exactly when Phase 4 will end, and Phase 5 will begin. So, we won’t be paying too much attention to the technicalities between the phases in this guide.
With so much content rolling out, it can be hard to keep up. Here’s every announced Marvel movie and TV show that’s set to come out in the future.
There are a few things to note about what we’re including in this guide. For starters, we’re including the mainline live-action MCU movies and Disney+ TV shows. We’re also including MCU animated TV shows, like What If…?. And we’re including Sony-produced Marvel content.
Chinese navy ship docks in Sri Lanka, stokes worry in India
HAMBANTOTA, Sri Lanka (AP) — A Chinese navy vessel arrived at a Beijing-built port in southern Sri Lanka on Tuesday, after its port call was earlier delayed due to apparent security concerns raised by India. The Yuan Wang 5 sailed into the Hambantota port and was welcomed by Sri Lankan and Chinese officials. The development could spark worry in India, which views China’s rising influence in the Indian Ocean with suspicion. Sri Lanka has referred to the Yuan Wang 5 as a “scientific research ship," but there are fears in India that the vessel could be used to surveil the region, with multiple media reports calling it a “dual-use spy ship.
That’s because the lines have blurred in recent years between Marvel and Sony MCU content. With the multiverse in full swing, anything Marvel could be part of the MCU. So what are we not including?
Without further ado, here are all the upcoming movies and shows in the MCU.
Marvel Studios series: Phase Four
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (Disney+) | August 17, 2022

In this Marvel film, we expect to see Mark Ruffalo in the Bruce Banner and Professor Banner form, training and helping his lawyer cousin embrace her She-Hulk persona. This show is a courtroom show, and MCU boss Kevin Feige has teased that other characters from the MCU could show up in court. Matt Murdock, anyone?

Marvel Halloween Special (Disney+) | October 2022 (we think)
- Directors: Michael Giacchino
- Genre: Superhero
- Stars: Gael García Bernal, Laura Donnelly
Marvel hasn’t confirmed much about its Halloween special, but there are some things that we do know about it. For example, we know that it’s being directed by Michael Giacchino and focuses on Werewolf By Night, which Gael García Bernal will play. Laura Donnelly would most likely be starring in this Marvel series.
Further, this Marvel Studios special would be solely based on the Marvel comics and would be the first television special in the Marvel Cinematic universe. Although unsure, our sources say that this superhero fiction is scheduled for release in October 2022. The rest, however, has yet to be determined, so maybe sit back and expect more.

The Untold Truth Of Dunkirk
Here are some of the more interesting behind-the-scenes facts about Christopher Nolan's extraordinary World War II epic, Dunkirk.Combining a booming score by Hans Zimmer, minimal dialogue, and a mixture of established and up-and-coming actors, it's a war film unlike any other, offering a frightening glimpse at a historic moment in global history when the Allies came dangerously close to losing World War II. As ambitious a film as any Nolan has made over the years, "Dunkirk" was a massive financial success at the time of its release in 2017, drawing in universally acclaimed reviews from critics.
This upcoming television special will be based on the Marvel comics Guardians of the galaxy. It will also be the second TV special in the MCU movies produced by Marvel Studios. Further, the special will reprise stars from its Marvel film series like Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, and the almost-silent Vin Diesel, who plays the tree humanoid- Groot.
The special is scheduled for release in December 2022.

- Directors: Thomas Bezuchar, Ali Selim
- Genre: Drama, Sci-Fi, Superhero.
- Stars: Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle
You haven’t forgotten about Nick Fury, have you? Fury may not have shown up much in recent Marvel content, but he’s set to get a TV series of his own in the form of the upcoming Secret Invasion TV show.
If Secret Invasion follows the story of the comics, it could impact the MCU as Endgame did as much. Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury in this series, and Ben Mendelsohn will play the shape-shifting Skrull Talos. The movie borders around a group of Shapeshifting aliens known as “The Skrulls,” infiltrating life on Earth.

- Directors: Bryan Andrews
- Genre: Action, Adventure, Anthology, Superhero.

The first season of What If… premiered on August 11, 2021, and intrigued Marvel fans with just nine episodes. This is the first Animated series and also the fourth TV series in the MCU produced by Marvel Studios. The series seeks to explore the devastating changes that would occur in alternate timelines of the multiverse if major changes in the MCU films happened differently.
Jeff Wright, who stars as “The Watcher,” narrates the storyline in this enthralling Marvel TV series, while other actors in the previous films of the MCU reprises their role. The upcoming season sets off on the formation of the Guardians of the Multiverse, with The Watcher meeting new heroes and exploring new worlds to protect the multiverse.

Princess Diana was planning to move to America without her sons weeks before she died, one of her former bodyguards claims.

Loki (Disney+) | 2023 © Provided by BGR
- Directors: Aaron Moorhead
- Genre: Action-Adventure, Crime-Thriller, Procedural Drama, Sci-Fi, Superhero.
- Stars: Tom Hiddleston, Jonathan Majors, Wunmi Mosaku
This is yet another amazing Marvel Television series that has stolen the hearts of Marvel fans since the first season aired. Marvel Studios had Loki premiere on the 9th of June, 2021, with only six jaw-dropping episodes.
The Marvel Television series that had Tom Hiddleston reprise his role as Loki received many positive reviews. No doubt, the upcoming second season, which is scheduled to premiere in mid-2023, should be nothing short of amazing as well. We are expecting another six episodes in the upcoming season as part of Phase five of the MCU.
IronHeart (Disney+) | 2023 © Provided by BGR
- Directors: Sam Bailey, Angela Barnes
- Genre: Sci-Fi, Superhero.
- Stars: Dominique Thorne
IronHeart is an upcoming Marvel television series based on the comic “IronHeart” in the MCU. This Marvel Studios-produced series would hit the screens with six episodes as part of Phase 5 of the MCU.
One funny thing our sources conjured on this series is the main character’s armored suit said to be a rival of the genius invention of Tony Stark. The Iron Man we all know has no rival since it aired, but maybe Marvel Studios have cooked up something more sizzling. Dominique Thorne appears in Wakanda Forever as IronHeart and will reprise the role to give us another brilliant experience of Marvel movies. We anticipate IronHeart to premiere on Disney+ with six episodes in the later part of 2023.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos (Disney+) | 2023/2024
- Directors: Sam Bailey, Angela Barnes
- Genre: Sci-Fi, Superhero.
- Stars: Kathryn Hahn
Do you recall the Witch from WandaVision that partially stole some of the scenes? Yes way, you are correct! Kathryn Hahn crept her way into the hearts of Marvel fans with her mischievous Witch role in her MCU debut in WandaVision. This dark world of comedy series would see Hahn reprising her role as Agatha Harkness.
The most anticipated films for the rest of 2022
2022 is flying by, so here is a list of some of the most anticipated films hitting screens in the last four months of the year. This also means a transition time for the film industry, as studios look to move beyond their slate of summer releases and begin focusing their attention on the upcoming fall and holiday seasons.
We are not certain if Wanda would appear in this series following her fate in Doctor Strange in the multiverse of Madness. However, those who watch Marvel movies should recall that Agatha was last seen being placed under Wanda’s spell in WandaVision. Marvel Studios confirmed the release period of this series at the San Diego Comic-Con. That said, we expect this spin-off series to premiere in late 2023 or early 2024.
Daredevil: Born Again (Disney+) | 2024
- Directors: Mark Steven Johnson (Possibly)
- Genre: Action, Crime Drama, Legal Drama, Superhero.
- Stars: Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson
Special thanks to Spider-man: No Way Home; Daredevil will see a return to the MCU come 2024.
Unlike Iron Fist or Luke Cage, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil now has an official timeline with a new antagonist in the play. Although there currently isn’t much information on the upcoming series, fans are in high spirits as to what to expect.
With Chris Ord as the executive producer, the return of Daredevil’s fourth season will no doubt be full of surprises. Sources tell us that Matt Murdock will appear in She-Hulk before the commencement of the Marvel television series Daredevil. Marvel Studios confirmed the premiering of this on Disney+ in early 2024.
Kraven the Hunter | January 13, 2023
- Director(s): J.C Chandor
- Genre: Superhero
- Stars: Aaron Tailor Johnson, Ariana DeBose
It’s unlikely that this will end up being officially part of the MCU, but with Sony and Marvel’s content merging more in recent times, anything is possible. Kraven the Hunter would be based on the Marvel comics but produced and distributed by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures. Marvel’s MCU inspired this superhero film.
Kraven the Hunter is another Spider-Man villain who is getting his own movie and will likely be the protagonist in the film — though it remains to be seen just how heroic or villainous the character ends up being. The upcoming superhero film is scheduled for release on the 13th of January, 2023
Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Four
Thor: Love and Thunder | July 8, 2022
- Directors: Taika Watiti
- Genre: Action/Adventure, Superhero, Sci-Fi, Fantasy
- Stars: Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Jaimie Alexander
The mighty Thor is back for his fourth solo film — breaking a record for the MCU. Thor: Love and Thunder also represent the highly-anticipated return to the MCU for director Taika Waititi, after a hugely successful hit with Thor: Ragnarok.
The movie not only sees the return of the Chris Hemsworth-played Thor that we know and love but also sees the appearance of a new Thor, Jane Foster, who wields a reforged Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir.
Thor: Love and Thunder was released on the 8th of July, grossing over $662 million worldwide. This made it the sixth highest-grossing film of 2022.
Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever | November 11, 2022
- Directors: Ryan Coogler
- Genre: Action, Adveture, Thriller, Sci-Fi
- Stars: Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Angela Basset, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman
After the tragic and untimely death of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, Marvel announced that it would not recast the role of T’Challa in the MCU. That’s definitely the right move — but it does leave the door wide open for what the second installment in the series will look like.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is being directed by original Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, who is also bringing a Wakanda-set TV show to Disney+. Safe to say, there’s no shortage of Wakanda content in Marvel’s future.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever continues to exalt superhero cinema to a new level following this release. The film would border around how Wakanda rises up to the challenge to protect their kingdom following King T’chala’s death. Marvel studios schedules this film’s release for the 11th of November, 2022, as Phase 4’s final film for MCU movies.
Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Five
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania | February 17, 2023 © Provided by BGR Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania upcomingg marvel movie
- Directors: Peyton Reed
- Genre: Superhero, Adventure, Fantasy
- Stars: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Jonathan Majors
The next Ant-Man movie is extremely highly anticipated, largely because of the impact it will likely have on the multi-verse. The film is set to more deeply explore Jonathan Majors’ big bad Kang the Conquerer.
Of course, it remains to be seen what becomes of Kang in this movie, given the fact that many suspects he’ll be the next Thanos-level threat. Bear in mind that this movie would be a sequel to the previous Ant-Man films.
The Marvel movie follows the main characters exploring the depth of the Quantum Realm. Anticipate this movie to know if Ant-man and the Wasp will cross paths with a “time-traveling, multiversal adversary” (Kang). The movie unfolds more villain roles to give a more captivating storyline.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has been scheduled to be released on the 17th of February, 2023. It would be the first film of the Marvel phase 5 Cinematic Universe movies.

The Guardians are finally coming back. After a somewhat long and turbulent development process, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is on the way, and it’s set to completely change the team. We’ll likely see some characters leave the team, and others potentially join — like Adam Warlock, who will star as Will Poulter.
This Marvel Studios superhero film sets the Guardians off to defend one of theirs, as they also protect the universe. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will come out on the 5th of May, 2023.

- Stars: Delroy Lindo, Aaron Pierre, Mahershala Ali
The Blade trilogy started off with New Line Cinema in 1998 and has since developed into successful films. However, Marvel Studios obtained the film rights in August 2012 and has decided to add more captivating stories for premium entertainment. Mahershala Ali will be playing the lead role instead of the usual Wesley Snipes.
There currently isn’t much information on this upcoming movie, but we’ll update this article once there is news. Blade is scheduled for release on November 3, 2023, as part of Phase 5 of the MCU movies.
Captain America: New World Order | TBD
Chris Evans’ potential return
Debunk every thought of hoping for a crack of a miracle at seeing Chris Evans on the upcoming Captain America movie. Rumors of Evans returning to the franchise should not be taken seriously.
Since the conclusion of the Captain America trilogy that started with “The First Avenger,” Chris Evans has had a couple of back and forths, extending his contract with Marvel Studios.
Chris Evans expressed his indifference about returning to the screens when asked if he would be reprising his role as Captain America in an interview back in 2021. So, the last Avengers film Chris Evans acted in was his final for his role as Captain America. Although chances are that he may still appear in Marvel movies, it just won’t be in the next Captain America.
- Directors: Julius Onah
- Genre: Action, Adventure, Superhero
- Stars: Anthony Mackie
For now, we are unsure of what the plot is about, but this is the fourth Captain America movie in the franchise. As announced at San Diego Comic-Con, Captain America: New World Order is scheduled for release to be released on the 3rd of May, 2021
Fantastic Four | TBD

After acquiring 21st Century Fox in December 2017, Marvel Studios’ primary producer, Kevin Feige, announced Marvel’s intention to integrate the Fantastic Four into the MCU. In December 2020, Feige announced that Jon Watts would direct the feature film, but Watts stepped down this year’s April.
Currently, there’s no news on who will take over as the Fantastic Four film director. The film is scheduled to be released on the 8th of November, 2024.

Marvel Studios went on with the next Agent of Shield season and shook its fanbase with an intriguing of the Avengers: Age of Ultron. More exciting news came when the Ant-Man was announced. After its release, Jessica Jones followed an additional “highly sensitive” Daredevil story. The first Luke Cage season dropped successfully, with Agent of Shield wrapping up that era.

We will not forget the wild buzz that shook the internet regarding the Team Iron Man vs Team Cap. fight in Captain America: Civil War. Even though Agents of Shield was still interesting to watch, the fans wanted more. Marve Studios were more than ready to dish out more, as well.
The saturated MCU was thrown into a mess with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. It was arguably one of the best Spider-Man, released. - Agents of Shield season 6 (2018)
The year when the MCU “snapped.” It was probably one of Marvel Studios’ plots to spread a wave of uncommon concerns and leave us to our wildest imaginations. All of the movies released that year led to the unforgettable snap from Thanos that took away the dearly beloved Tony Stark and split the MCU into halves of despair. The Blip sent a wave of reminders of how dear each superhero was to the MCU and how hard it was to choose one hero for another.
Marvel timeline: 2018-2026

- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2025)
- Moon Knight (2025)
- Ms. Marvel (2025)

Some effects of “The Blip” are still evident. We lost Tony Stark, Wanda seemingly discovered more power from Vision’s death, Bruce Banner just won’t get angry enough to transform into The Incredible Hulk again, and Peter Parker still reminisces over Tony…
Without any iota of doubt, Marvel Studios are a league of genius storytellers. Kevin Feige promised more exciting scenes in his announcement for upcoming movies. So, keep your fingers crossed and anticipate the best in the coming years.
