And In That Corner … Georgia Tech heads to Notre Dame beaten up and on a four-game losing streak
Georgia Tech is in the midst of a multi-year rebuild, and this year is not going well, nor is it likely finish well with a trip to No. 8 Notre Dame looming.Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly can understand that difficulty. Most coaches do, few of them wishing to trade places with Collins. His task began with the roster he inherited, but turning it over faster than the usual four-year cycle was paramount.
Gibbs had been a pillar of the North Jersey football coaching community with a reputation and résumé that is hard to match. He had been the Green Raiders coach since 2001 and led them to seven sectional titles. He had connections nationwide, and among his alumni are former NFL star wide receiver Chris Hogan.
The Green Raiders, currently 10-1, are slated to play Northern Highlands in the North 1, Group 4 final Friday night. The status of that game is in limbo.
