Washington Nationals sued by ex-employees over vaccine firing

Washington Nationals sued by ex-employees over vaccine firing The Washington Nationals are being sued by two former employees who were fired for refusing to comply with the team’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Lawrence (Larry) Pardo and Brad Holman were pitching coaches in the Nats’ organization. The two refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine for religious reasons and were fired by the Nats as a result. The team instituted a mandate on Aug. 12 that went into effect on Sept. 10, leading to the firing of both men.Now the two have filed a lawsuit against the club, TMZ Sports reports.

One of the NBA's most historic rivalries continues on Tuesday when the Celtics visit the Lakers.

There have been plenty of ups and downs for each team up to this point in the season with both the Celtics (13-11) and Lakers (12-12) hovering around the .500 mark.

The Celtics, who are at the midway point of a five-game Western Conference road trip, are fresh off of scoring a season-high 145 points in a regulation victory over the Trail Blazers. In the win, Jayson Tatum and Dennis Schröder each scored 31 points to lead the way for Boston.

Each member of the above duo is worth keeping an eye on in LA as Tatum has seen a recent uptick in efficiency while Schröder will look to make a statement against his former team in the Lakers and a former Thunder teammate in Russell Westbrook.

5 NBA legends you forgot played for the Boston Celtics

5 NBA legends you forgot played for the Boston Celtics The Boston Celtics have had 37 Hall of Famers play for the franchise at some point during their legacy. Which ones were the most forgettable? The Boston Celtics are one of the most iconic franchises in sports. They have 17 NBA championships to their name, tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for most all-time. They are only behind the New York Yankees and Montreal Canadiens for most championships in sports. That legacy is appealing to aging legends who might be looking to bank another title. It hasn't been as good to be a Celtics fan as of late. They only have one championship this century.

Westbrook scored just 10 points (on 4 of 8 shooting) in the Lakers' loss to the Clippers on Friday. Anthony Davis led the way with 27 points and LeBron James scored 23 points to go with a game-high 11 rebounds after missing one game due to a false positive COVID-19 test result.

James wasn't exactly pleased following his performance against the Clippers and will look to pace the Lakers by getting into a better rhythm with the Celtics in town. With a number of teams in the Western Conference holding serve in the middle of the pack, a big rivalry win could be just what the Lakers need to build momentum and create some separation.

NBA Power Rankings: Warriors remain on top but Nets climbing fast

NBA Power Rankings: Warriors remain on top but Nets climbing fast Brooklyn and Miami are the top-ranked teams from the East, but the Bucks are climbing fast. 1. Warriors (15-2, Last Week No. 1). Rookie Jonathan Kuminga has been getting more run of late, and the No. 7 pick is showing flashes of the crazy athleticism and potential he brings to the court. Steve Kerr used a young Kawhi Leonard as his comp: Insane athlete, raw, but on a team deep with talented veterans so he just has to play a role and make simple plays. So far, Kuminga has done that well and helped the Warriors, but it’s a long road from here to being Kawhi. The Warriors have won four in a row and 11-of-12, with a good showdown next Tuesday against the Suns.
