One minute in. On to half guard, piling up punches. Oliveira gets to his knees. Two minutes in. Working his way to his feet. Gravely fires knees to the thigh, takes Oliveira back down as he hunts a guillotine again. Two minutes to go.

Side control for Gravely, then turtle. Oliveira makes it to his feet. They trade for a moment, then Gravely gets back into the clinch. One minute to go. Short elbow by Oliveira. Another takedown by Gravely as Oliveira again chases a guillotine. Again. 10-9 Gravely.

Round 2: Low kick from Oliveira, avoids a clinch. Good double-leg from Gravely puts him back on top in half guard. Oliveira gets to his knees, eats punches. Scooting to the fence, back to the feet. One minute in. They trade on the break. Lead right by Gravely. Oliveira lands a combo, tries a knee, gets taken down into half guard chasing a guillotine. Round 1: Throwing heat right away. Valdez knee, Frevola right hand. Low kick from Frevola. Big rush from Frevole and a left hook floors Valdez. He makes it up and tries to throw back, but gets dropped by another hook. Frevola still can’t pound him out. Valdez makes it to his feet and cracks him with a right hand on the break. Solid knees from Frevola against the fence, then a left hook that sits Valdez down a third time. Again he survives and throws back, then gets crumpled by a right hook. He just won’t stay down. A fifth knockdown, then a sixth. Frevola pounding away, then jumps on his back. Good balance and he postures up to keep bombing. The ref finally intervenes as Frevola tears into him from back mount.
